BET’s “Sistas” and “Zatima” Star Devale Ellis was recently featured on Day Time TV for the first time ever!
The star joined his “Sistas” co-star KJ Smith for an interview on The Sherri Show.
The two talked about everything “Sistas” but one of the conversations that stuck out to us was Devale explaining how he got the role of Zac on the show.
Devale was previously offered a different role but ended up getting the role taken from his because Tyler Perry had bigger plans for the Star.
Devale took to Instagram to share the hilarious story of how he thought he was being fired:

We’re glad Tyler seen something special in Devale and gave him a bigger role! We cannot imagine anyone else playing the role of Zac.
Sistas follows a group of single Black females as they navigate their “complicated love life,” careers and friendship through the ups and downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals. The women must navigate this new-age dating scene as they continue to search for love in their 30’s.
